Implementation Roadmap
The purpose the 91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards Implementation Roadmap is to serve as an at-a-glance guide for all stakeholder groups to facilitate attainment of the standards. The NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Roadmap and Implementation Timeline has been designed to assist and support districts and educators with the transition to full implementation of the NYS Learning Standards for Computer Science and Digital Fluency. The Roadmap provides a recommended plan spread out over the four phases of implementation. The Roadmap highlights shared goals, objectives, and activities that support key stakeholders with the transition process.

Standards Example Document
The examples contained within the document were created by educators who served on the Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards Workgroups. The examples are meant to be illustrative only and were designed to be helpful for teachers when planning lessons. To assist in these efforts, some examples include a specific interdisciplinary connection distinction. NYSED does not require any curriculum or instructional strategy. All curriculum decisions are made at the local level.

Smart Start Grant Artifacts
TheÌý91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ has awarded grant funds to 17 applicants to assist in the professional development of K-8 teachers in their knowledge and expertise of the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards. The purpose of the Smart Start grant is to develop, implement, and share innovative programs that provide professional development and support to increase expertise in computer science, engineering, and/or educational technology among teachers in grades K-8. Artifacts including lesson plans and other resources incorporating the Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards are posted on the . Artifacts are posted in an excel spreadsheet as well as in a fillable form to email.Ìý
