Public Health and Education Laws Require Schools to Follow State Requirements for Vaccinations
The 91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ (SED) and the 91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ Department of Health (DOH) are committed to ensuring that schools across 91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ are adhering to state public health laws requiring vaccination of children prior to school admission. Given the recent media attention and the fact that DOH has confirmed three cases of measles in 91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ, including New York City, recently issued a memo to schools in 91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ as a reminder to continue to take all appropriate measures to protect New York’s students through ytheir responsibility to oversee children’s admissions to school.
